Neonatal aspergillosis accompanying fulminant necrotising enterocolitis.

A preterm infant developed fulminant necrotising enterocolitis, subsequently resulting in death. Necropsy examination showed diffuse aspergillosis. Reports are reviewed, and possible mechanisms resulting in Aspergillus infection in this infant are discussed.
